TGIF, y’all! This week, and January in whole, felt like it lasted forever. Does anyone else feel that way too?
Today I want to do something a little different around here. I want to get personal. There’s something about the blogging industry as a whole that has really been bothering me. Blogging is more then just a job for almost all of us. Yet, you still see people bringing other people down. What’s that all about?
I really don’t think people understand that bloggers are sort of grouped as an entity in society. To me that means we’re more then just a community. Sure, we’re each other’s competition, but we can also be each other’s biggest asset. Just look at Jess and Cathy, or Hallie & Jessica.
I feel like I’m starting to ramble, but the moral to this story is that we are in this together. If a brand has a terrible experience with a blogger, do you think they are going to keep spending their marketing dollars on hiring bloggers? Probably not.
Let’s just all agree to stop the behavior and thinking that we can all make it in this industry by ourselves. Because I hate to break it to you, you definitely won’t make it as far.
