Dressing Up My Wellies

Sharing with you today another impulse buy while on a Target run recently… Will I ever be able to get out of there without finding a new pair of shoes or that houseware that I told myself I couldn’t live without?! The answer is no my friends.

These little black wellies are a new favorite pair of booties in my closet. I really only had my Sperry Bean Boots when it came to rain boots, so these little babies are going to get a good run.  My new boots are undeniably fashionable with their Chelsea Boot style. I can’t wait to pair these with dresses too during Spring showers next year!

P.S. Last year, I wrote a guide to buying Bean Boots for him & her if you’re still interested. It explains sizing and fit, and where to buy different styles. The cold weather is coming and they will sell out in a lot of stores!

They say black clothing is a girl’s best friend, but I find this especially true on Monday’s. This black sweater is so easy to grab and pair with any pair of jeans, corduroys, or leggings. Here I went with just a hint of gold accessories, but you could pair a chunky cardigan over it, go for a blanket scarf, or a vest or kimono on top. Seriously y’all, find a new staple black sweater (or two) and you’ll thank me.

My moon necklace and black clutch are both from my boutique, Magnolia Rifle. Don’t forget you can use the code MR2017 for 15% off your first online order!

As you can tell, my closet is full of staple pieces at the moment. There will always be a time for that fun fringe sweater or perhaps a floral printed dress, but time and time again I will turn to my trusty pieces when in a crunch. My next hunt will be for a classic, timeless winter coat. Any suggestions?

i love your hair and your glasses…something about the color just compliments each other. both my mom and i bought these boots (which we call our beatle boots as the beatles wore ones like these) to take to london this past spring. they weren’t the most comfy for an all day of touring, but they certainly were a great purchase for looking cute in the rain and being light to pack!
